Dream Street's Rick Silvia Puts Dressage in the Spotlight at the Florida Equine Capitol ExpoOcala, FL- Rick Silvia of Dream Street Stallions up dressage in the spotlight , literally at the recent Florida Equine Capital Horse Expo hosted in Ocala, Florida. Silvia rode Deborah and Rex Howe's Grand Prix stallion, Fantasma, in a dazzling musical freestyle for dinners at the Expo's Dinner in the Dirt Gala. The freestyle was hosted at night under the stars with a spotlight following Silvia and Fantasma as the performed a musical medley of piaffe, passage , extensions and tempi changes between the tables at dinner. "It was quite dramatic," said one dinner, "When they rode a long sequence of one tempi changes down the center of the tables, it was like something out of a dream".
"Dreams" are exactly what drove 23-year old Silvia to establish himself as one the countries youngest stallion owners. "I wanted to do more than just ride," said Silvia, "I wanted to bring top breeding stallions to American and make them available to mare owners here.. At the same time, I am as committed to promoting the sport of dressage as I to promoting the sport horses themselves", added Silvia.
Silvia, a well-known competitor on the Southeast dressage circuit, is earning his place in the ranks of US sport horse breeders. Silvia runs Dream Street Stallions and owns five dressage horses, including three stallions of international quality. Through Dream Street Stallions, Silvia is making his dream a reality and happily he is sharing his "dream" horses with the public as often as he can.
